2012 Redfish Tournaments begin!

by admin on January 21, 2011

This year Team Action Fishing Charters will be competing in 3 different Tournament Series. We will return to the  West Coast Redfish Pro in search of a repeat Championship win and Team of the Year repeat from 2011.  The 2011 West Coast Pro Championship win and Team of the Year success gives us great momentum coming into this year. We will also continue to support and show up favored to have great success in the Flats Masters Elite Pro Redfish Series. We believe that local  and state divisional tournaments gives us dominant local exposure while promoting the future success of saltwater fishing tournaments.  The 2012 Flats Masters Elite Pro series is showing to have great momentum in the world of Professional Tournaments and is attracting televised network coverage. Continuing our efforts in the IFA Redfish Tour, this year we are committed to being a team to watch. Joining Team Action Fishing this year is long time friend and Rolex Grand AM professional driver Charles Espenlaub. With his current sponsor for Grand AM being the Visit Florida and Fishing Capital of the World/Bass2Billfish campaign we hope to continue to promote Florida’s Tourism. The IFA gives our Team the best chance at National Exposure and continues to attract the best Teams in professional fishing. Over the past few difficult years, Fox’s FLW Redfish Tour and ESPN’s Redfish Cup have disappeared but our sport continues to survive. Corporate sponsors are still committed to support this sport and realize that next to auto racing, fishing still provides the best outdoor marketing opportunities around. How better to build brand recognition then putting your name on a fishing team? Consider these simple facts:

Our Tournament Trail gives our sponsors no less than 5 days of prefishing equaling nearly 120 days of mobile media and marine exposure. 120 days with 1 fuel stop a day and 1 retail outlet a day equals 240 places of consumer contact points. 240 places with at least 20 people viewing your Team’s gear equals 4,800 contacts. Our tournaments span a minimum of 120 days at an average of 50 miles per day equals 6,000 miles. 6000 miles with at least 10 contacts per mile equals 60,000. Take at a minimum of 64,800 contacts per year based on some very conservative figures and you can see why the value of outdoor marketing associated with professional tournament fishing is valuable! We look forward to another year of promoting our sponsors and we encourage everyone to visit them and use their products and services. Our first tournament is Feb. 10th West Coast Redfish Pro out of Tampa. Stay tuned for updates!
